December Newsletter: Project Submission is almost here!
Project Submission is almost here!
It is almost time to submit your projects! From January 15 to March 1, you will be able to submit your BC Green Games projects. We will send you an email with a link to the submission form on January 15!
Online voting is available as soon as a project is submitted. Teams interested in the Call2Recycle Viewer’s Choice Award, use this time to campaign! Encourage your school, parents, and community to vote for your project!
Winners in all categories will be announced April 4.
Tips for a Great Project
So you've taken action and documented your hard work, but now you're wondering how to put your project together? We have a few tips and resources for you!
All projects need a Team Photo, a Project Description/Essay, and of course, the project itself. Get creative with your Team Photo and Project Description/Essay to draw more people to your project (and collect more votes!)
When submitting, keep in mind that all entries will be judged based on three qualities: environmental action, student involvement, and storytelling & communication.
Before you submit: ensure that your project complies with copyright law! No entry may include any trademarked or third-party materials (photos, music, etc.) without obtaining written permission from the owners of the trademarked materials.
Call2Recycle Viewers' Choice Award
The Call2Recycle Viewers' Choice Award is a friendly voting competition that opens up as soon as your team has submitted your project.
How it works:
When you upload your project, you can begin your Call2Recycle Viewers' Choice Award campaign by encouraging your school, parents and community to vote on your project.
Viewers can vote once per hour, per IP address. Since Schools share an IP address, try waiting at least ten minutes between votes in the same day.
The four teams with the most votes by March 31 at midnight will be awarded a $500 prize for their school.

Call2Recycle is North America’s first and largest battery stewardship program. As a non-profit organization, they collect and recycle batteries at no cost for municipalities, businesses and consumers. Call2Recycle has diverted more than 39 million kilograms of batteries and cellphones from the solid waste stream and established over 34,000 collection sites throughout Canada and the US. It is the first program of its kind to receive the Responsible Recycling Practices Standard (R2) certification.
Love our planet? So do we. At ReGeneration, we believe reducing waste is the key to our future. That's why we recycle environmentally harmful products like lightbulbs, smoke alarms, and paint at free drop-off locations across the country. Together, we can reduce our waste and protect our planet. Join us in creating a healthy and vibrant planet for future generations!
